Lin Ruiyin is an award-winning jeweller trained in Central St Martins in London under the tutelage of industry heavyweights in the contemporary jewellery scene, and whose personal works are part of gallery collections in London.
Afzal Imram was trained in Industrial Design at the National University of Singapore by leading designers and thinkers in Singapore, with personal works that have been exhibited in Milan, Paris, and Singapore.
Jewellery to them is the perfect platform not only to play with the boundaries of both art and design, but also to explore the complexity of the human body and individual personality.
To quote art historian Damian Skinner’s Contemporary Jewelry in Perspective, “The body moves in the public domain, and makers hope their work will piggyback on this mobility in order to engage with reality, be relevant, modern, activated.”
